Course Delivery & Duration
The Respiratory Update training course consists of a one day workshop.
GP, Nurse, Pharmacist, Registered Healthcare Practitioners
This interactive day, led by a respiratory specialist nurse, is for healthcare professionals who have already undergone diploma or degree level asthma training or COPD training, including the PCTC Respiratory Disease Management training course. The day will take a close look at how well we are doing locally and nationally with respiratory care, provide a refresher of the latest guidelines for COPD from NICE, and the latest asthma guidelines from the British Thoracic Society. With so many new drugs and devices available for prescribers, there will also be a session on this hot topic. To complete the day, there are case studies to help put valuable theory into essential practice, and the opportunity to ask plenty of questions and network with fellow delegates.
- Awareness of local respiratory service performance compared to national
- Understanding of latest national and international guidelines
- Understand latest inhaled therapies
- Do we need to do more for our respiratory patients?
- National Guidelines and practical application
- What’s new - horizon scanning
- Case studies
