This six-month module aims to further develop practitioners with the necessary knowledge and skills to facilitate the holistic management of patients in primary care who have asthma and/or COPD. It considers the assessment, management and treatment options for both conditions. The impact of respiratory disease on the psychological and quality of life issues of the patient is considered.
On completion the healthcare practitioner will be able to assess and propose pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment tailored to the individual needs of the patient.
The respiratory disease training course will cover Spirometry, but if this is your main area of interest then you may wish to consider our two day Spirometry course.
