Publication of the NICE clinical guidance on menopause management is promised at the end of 2015. The public interest that this will generate is likely to encourage women to attend our surgeries asking for more information about how to cope with their symptoms and ask for advice about improving their long-term health. The aim of this study day is to provide an update on the guideline and latest evidence to support these consultations as well as improving the information we provide for women with continence concerns.
The study day will help improve the knowledge of primary care clinicians dealing with women presenting with menopausal issues, including osteoporosis prevention and management, as well as updating students on continence care.
- This day covers various issues regarding the menopause and current research on hormone replacement therapy. Further issues surrounding the menopause are given as well as an update on continence promotion.
- New developments in the management of the menopause
- The effects and management of results of the menopause
- Drug therapy including HRT
