British Dietetic Association - Link
The British Dietetic Association, established in 1936, is the professional association for dietitians. Its aims are to advance the science and practice of dietetics and associated subjects, promote training and education in the science and practice of dietetics and associated subjects and regulate the relations between dietitians and their employer through the BDA Trade Union.

British Hypertension Society - Link
The British Hypertension Society provides a medical and scientific research forum to enable sharing of cutting edge research in order to understand the origin of high blood pressure and improve its treatment. An annual scientific meeting is held every September at a University Campus in the UK and Ireland.

The Primary Care Cardiovascular Society, a registered company and charity, aims to improve the care and outcome of patients with cardiovascular disease in the primary care setting and to provide a general practice perspective on cardiovascular disease management to policy makers and expert bodies.

Stroke Association - Link
The Stroke Association is the only UK wide charity solely concerned with combating stroke in people of all ages. It funds research into prevention, treatment and better methods of rehabilitation, and helps stroke patients and their families directly through its Rehabilitation and Support Services. These include Communication Support, Family and Carer Support, information services and welfare grants. We also campaign, educate and inform to increase knowledge of stroke at all levels of society, and we act as a voice for everyone affected by stroke.
The Stroke Association produces a number of publications including patient leaflets, Stroke News (a quarterly magazine) and information for health professionals. -
Walking the way to Health - Link
Walking the way to Health (WHI) is the largest national body promoting and setting the standards for led health walks. It is a joint initiative between Natural England and the British Heart Foundation.
