World COPD Day 20078 Nov 2007
14 November 2007 is World COPD Day
COPD is one of the fastest growing diseases, and by 2020 it is expected to be the third largest cause of death.
Several pharmaceutical companies have given financial support to the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) to produce posters to raise patient awareness of the condition.
The Primary Care Training Centre distance learning course Respiratory Disease Management in Primary Care is University-accredited at Honours level and covers both COPD and asthma. You can find out more here. We also offer a study day on this topic for Health Care Assistants, details of which can be found here.
We can deliver these courses in your area subject to minimum numbers, or you can attend workshops at either or Bradford or London venues.
For more information on World COPD day, visit the GOLD website.
