New short courses coming soon26 Sep 2007
Can't spare the time for a diploma? What about one of our new short courses?
The Primary Care Training Centre is pleased to announce a series of Short Courses. These are designed to cover topics in more detail than can be obtained at a stand-alone Study Day but without the long time committment of a Diploma Course.
The Course starts with a full day workshop. The students are given a binder which contains the full programme for the day, copies of all the slides used in presentations, handouts and a manual covering in written form all the topics that are relevant including guidelines, references and patient information.
After three months, students are able to submit case work or competencies and a Certificate of Course Completion is awarded.
Although the courses are not accredited, students will be able to obtain recognition through PREP's.
The first Courses are:
GP's and Nurses
- Heart Failure
- Hypertension
- Insulin Conversion
Health Care Assistants
- Assessing Cardiovascular Risk
