PCTC throws its weight behind new course!

One of the questions we get asked often at the PCTC is "Why don't you run a study day on obesity or weight management?" From early 2009, the answer to that question will be "We do!"

The new course will cover all aspects of obesity, including:

• Introduction and terminology and pathophysiology
• Obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease
• NICE Guidelines - what works and what doesn't and local interventions
• Pharmacological interventions and prescribing
• Prescribing in obesity and diabetes
• Childhood obesity, NAO report and Scottish Parliamentary Report
• Obesity futures - current research, innovative projects, WHO report and global issues
