Primary Care Training News

New London venue needed14 Sep 2007

Can you help?

The Primary Care Training Centre is based in Bradford, and for many years has run courses at its Crow Trees venue, and at satellite venues around the United Kingdom. In order to make our courses available to more students, for whom Bradford is too far to travel, or whose local PCT is unable to book a satellite course, we started offering workshops sessions at St Charles Hospital in London. This has proved very successful, and many students have already attended courses there.

Unfortunately, that venue will not be available to us after January next year due to developments on the site. Therefore, we are looking at alternatives in the London area. Ideally, we would prefer to rent space from within the NHS, rather than the private sector.

Typically, we would need a large room, capable of seating 24 students in classroom style (six tables with four places) and a smaller break-out room for group workshops to seat a minimum of 12. We would also require tea and coffee, and would expect to provide lunch for our students.

We estimate that we will need about twenty days during 2008, although this may increase as we become more established in the area. Obviously these would be booked to suit your existing arrangements.

If you are a practice, trust, hospital or other NHS organisation, are located within easy reach of central London, and would like to help us with this, please get in touch to discuss how we can work together. You can contact us by emailing us at admin@primarycaretraining.co.uk or by phone on 01274 617617.
