Phlebotomy and Wound Care prove big success
Crow Trees was awash with blood during May. Fortunately it was all of the fake variety, as the first of our new Phlebotomy and Wound Care courses ran.
Our students thoroughly enjoyed themselves, with every one of them evaluating the courses as either good or excellent. Almost everyone commented on how useful they found the practical sessions, which involved them removing staples and sutures from a skin pad or even drawing blood from a fake arm.
One student said "I will, with supervision, be able to undertake venepuncture, feeling more confident than I did before today." Another said "I will now be able to provide continuous care to the patients I see for minor surgery and provide support to the practice and district nursing teams."
Almost all felt that the courses would enable them to take a more active role in their practices. To find out how you could join them, call us on 0870 850 0539 or look on this website for details of these exciting new courses.
