Two new books from Class Publishing

What would we do without Dick Warner and his fellow gnomes at Class Publishing? The vast majority of sensible, readable books on Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease and similar conditions emanate from this house.

Two "new" books have recently been published. They are actually the latest editions of books which date back many years in the "...At Your Fingertips" series. This was not immediately obvious for gone is the familiar bright red cover and gone are the stalwart Peter Sonksen and Sue Judd who saw through the first five editions of the books on Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes over the last 15 years.

The new editions are written by Charles Fox and Anne Kilvert. Charles Fox is familiar to primary care professionals as the co-author of the best book on diabetes "Diabetes in the Real World", sadly long out of print, and "Vital Diabetes" which is still with us.

Both books follow the familiar question and answer format and offer straight forward, sensible advice for patients with either of these conditions. Thankfully, the authors do not shirk questions where there is no solid evidence-based recommendation available but express opinions based on many years of experience with that most valuable of all suppliers of evidence - the patient!

Although the book is intended for patients, primary care professionals will find much to inform and interest them in both these books. Indeed they should be on the shelf of every primary care centre library along with other books in the series.

Both books are available direct from Class Publishing at www.class.co.uk or 01256 302699.
